We are excited to introduce the two new Lucky Loonie hardwood putters!

There are several stories concerning the luck of the "Lucky Loonie" dollar coin. Here are a few stories that have made the coin famous! (See all the details at THE LUCKY LOONIE WEBSITE):

"At the Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games, Ice Maker Trent Evans secretly buried a loonie beneath centre ice. But the secret was too good to keep! He told the Canadian hockey players about "that little piece of Canada in the ice" ó even though it placed the coin in danger of being uncovered. In the end, the loonie stayed put and brought a stroke of good fortune to Canada's men's and women's gold medal-winning hockey teams. Victory was the Canadians! A Canadian tradition is born.

"A uniquely Canadian lucky charm, the "Lucky Loonie" is well on its way to becoming a Canadian tradition with teams representing Canada in any sport embedding a Loonie under or near the playing surface."

"Following in the tradition started with the men's and women's champion hockey teams in Salt Lake City, rowers Gen Meredith of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Que., and Fiona Milne of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., won the gold in the women's lightweight doubles at the Pan Am Games, with a Lucky Loonie in their boat for good luck."

"The legend of the Lucky Loonie has now also become part of the history of the Canadian Football League (CFL). During the 2003 Grey Cup game a Loonie was placed in the Edmonton end zone for good luck by an Edmonton fan whose job is to paint the field graphics. He figured "if it worked for Team Canada in Salt Lake City, then why wouldn't it work for Edmonton?" Once Edmonton won the Grey Cup, the story of the Loonie was revealed."

"At an amateur level, a Vancouver Canucks fan melted a Loonie into GM Place during a shinny rental on March 25th, 2004 and the team went on a win streak of 8-0-1. When NHL team officials removed the Loonie the night before the Canucks were to face the Calgary Flames in the playoffs, the Canucks lost all three home games and the series. Coincidence? Athletes and fans alike believe in their teams, but are a superstitious lot, respecting and carrying on various traditions and rituals in order to bring luck to any competition - just in case."

Each of these putters is serialized on the sole to establish its value and collectability, and comes with a ultrasoft black leather headcover. The putter is perfectly balanced with a highly polished brass plate on the sole... and it has a wonderful feel from address to follow-through!
